Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk.... I mean... Oil....

Life has had a funny way of tossing me headfirst into school again. I have a prospectus defense at the end of the month, and the many thesis deadlines lurking in the future "blob" that some may refer to as, my future masters career. It seems much more like a blob than a career... for the record. It is reminding me of my strengths and weaknesses, and how I work better under a pressurized, organized, structured environment...all things that I imagine will come into full play when law school starts next fall.

Yep, you read it correctly... law school is the plan. I have debated whether this is the road I am supposed to take for quite some time, but at the crux of the debate was a question I already knew the answer to; "Do you want to read about people making changes.... or do you want to be the change people read about in the world?" I wanted to be the catalyst for positive change. (Please, under any circumstances... do not associate my "change" with Obama's smoke a mirrors shouting and dancing routine. I actually do what I say I am going to do, and I do it under the right motivations, and for the betterment of others. Let's get real- the man is more worried about chipping a nail than he is about fulfilling his promises. I bet he has an inappropriately sexy Vietnamese woman on staff to fix "his nails." muuhaha). I've got jokes. Anywho- I wanted to be in the mix of it all... I wanted to sweat, bleed, fight for what I believed in...and I know that law school will be the last step needed to be properly skilled for battle.

Alongside current events, and as my profile indicates, I go to school in Hattiesburg (and no, this is not a free ticket to be my facebook friend or stalk me. Thank you kindly.) . I am thoroughly entrenched in the mix of all the emotions and fear that have unfortunately encompassed the oil spill in the Gulf. I will admit that my first emotions towards the entire situation were purely economically based. Time is money. Oil is money. The loss of both, continuously and simultaneously is extremely unfortunate.... and the black and white of it... it's costly. I confess that I was focused mostly on a corporate level- the money BP was losing, it's affiliates, the gas station owners, and so on. It seems like that string of dominos would never come to an end, and in fact- it wont.

But here we are...and the issue has moved from sad... to absolutely ridiculous. Let me level with you- I care very little about the Norwegian tally-wag bass fin fish dying at rapid numbers (i made that fish name up... sounds legit, huh?). Call me a ruthless-life sucking- trick, if you may, but I'd rather be honest with you folks. Fish are dying, we get it. The "Green Party Revolution" and all of their various flyers and propaganda can stop at any time. If I get one more "informational packet" or flyer on my windshield, I promise, with all of the Java Werks patrons as my many witnesses, (I am not going to actually say this out loud, as the Java Werks patrons tend to be a little on the earth-humping hippie side, but you get my point...) that I will have my car repainted with the phrase "I hate all animals and hope they all become extinct and die a horrible death." Dramatic, maybe- but a needed reminder of a little thing my Dad so kindly taught me called "Prioritization." Let me spell this out in an easy to discern idiot-proof matter for the tree hugger/ peace sign throwing/ would probably be willing to attempt to mate with alternate species Americans out there...

Red Flag of Oil Spill #1:
Within an hour of notification, "President" Obama (I like to put the "president" part in quotes... because he was born outside the United States, which makes his presidency merely hypothetical to me... Citation, U.S. Constitution Article II, Section I, "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." Look it up, I know you wont. ), should have immediately and indefinitely suspended the Jones Act. This is also referred to as the Merchant Marine Act of 1920 and in a nutshell, keeps trade in the waterways primarily between United States owned businesses, and also offers an unprecedented "security" package to those who work in anything marine based to be compensated for nearly every single thing that goes wrong in their industry by the company in which they are employed. It is worthy of a mention that this union- supporting legislation should have been repealed YEARS ago, but since it has not, Obama, our P-Squared, or spelled out... our Puppeteer President should have put an immediate pause on such frivolous claims that were certain to ensue due to our country's overwhelming feeling of entitlement per Obama's suggestion. (To be fair, the entitlement problem... or the "free-rider" problem is an age old issue, I just find personal satisfaction that the leader of the free world advocates that people DESERVE something, with no logical or justifiable reason why. I think of things that operate under such assumptions... as lies. And you should to, if you are 1/3 smarter than a three-year-old.) So... Obama fails, once again.

Red Flag of Oil Spill #2:
As I hate surprises, in all forms, let me spill the beans before we even dive in for this one- Obama fails, once again. SURPRISE! CONFETTI! STREAMERS! NOISE-MAKERS! Ah, I make myself giggle. In this genius, but imperfect, system of government in which we live and operate, there is an intricate and intimate relationship between the federal and state governments. If you have any understanding of promises, and how they work... the "contract" under which this relationship stays afloat, is roughly, "I, the state, promise to adhere to a series of unified laws and restrictions in the name of efficiency and strength in the collective, in return for the federal governments' promise to protect me, help me, and encourage my independence in matters explicitly outlined in the United States Constitution." Handshake. Sealed. Signed. Delivered. Donezo. (In case you're skeptical in regards to the "independence clause," I humbly refer you to the United States Constitution, Article IV, Section I, sometimes referred to as the Full Faith and Credit Clause, "Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.") So here we can truly grasp the weight of the broken promise that has occurred over and over every single day that Obama restricts federal resources to help with the spill. On day on, Obama's horrible PR staff member should have typed out a simple yet effective speech, astutely entitled "What the U.S. Constitution says I am supposed to do, and as I do not know what exactly it says, I am just going to simply quote in full Article IV, Section 4 of the United States Constitution, which states, The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence." Eureka! Honesty! Had Obama both in word and action, volunteered every single branch, person, government official he could get his hands on to the dispersal of the states that were combating "domestic violence" (that is exactly what this is... don't make me get theoretical on you....) The Gulf Coast states could fix the issues in a timely matter, in a way that was pertinent and important to their states economy and well-being. They would not be forced...as they are... to jump through red tape, hoops, and miscellaneous jungle gym apparatus'. They could be solution focused and solution capable, instead of problem focused and problem restricted. Obama= Epic Failure.

Red Flag of Oil Spill #3:
I love the number three. (It's the Tri Delta in me, I suppose...) The third epic failure on Obama's part, is his lack of humility, intelligence, and imagination. Let me break it down for you (not in a hip hop dancing kind of way... english language equivalent= I'll explain in more detail.. read on, my friend). Obama continuously thinks that he knows better than anyone on earth that he has all the answers. He is the Messiah, after all! (brief break to clean up the vomit off my keyboard...sarcasm, is sometimes difficult to write.) What would the harm be in stating... "Listen folks, I know I play the I'm 'black' (sort of) card, and pretend to be disenfranchised... but even my expensive private secondary school education, matched with my grandfathered in college education, doesn't mean that I know what it takes to solve this problem. I need to get the best of the best... researchers, scientists, oil rig workers, inventors, etc... and we need to formulate the best plan possible- and we're not leaving the conference room until we have a main plan, and several additional plans to fall back on." But no- the messiah, as predicted, wasn't smart enough to employ all his resources. What about the men who have been working on the oil rigs in the Gulf for fifty or more years? Could they not have pragmatic, applicable knowledge that could help fix the matter at hand? You would think a Chicago thug, of all people, would seek to empower the "working man," but as these "working men" live in the southern hemisphere, the democratic party, and the unconstitutional PP (see above for translation), play the numbers game all too well. Although they are working men, per say, they are also white, anglo, Christian, presumably conservatives...why give them a say... if they wont vote for Obama to reinstate him for the next term? Revelation= Obama cares more about himself and reelection than he does about having all the cards and information in order to solve a problem. Now what party is filled with selfish-racial profiling bigots? Answer= starts with "dem" ends with "ocrats."

Red Flag Oil Spill #4:
I know earlier I joked about hating animals... well... I'm not a total heartless woman. I love animals, and... I enjoy eating them. (I don't eat ALL animals... just the usual... kangaroos, cats, werewolves...etc.) And, although it pains me to admit this after Al Gore's ridiculous tom foolery about global warming, there IS a substantial conservative argument for being environmentally conscious. Conservatives, in every form, have a single umbrella goal. That goal is... to conserve. And this includes, to my dismay, the Norwegian tally-wag bass fin fish...if it, in fact, existed in real life. This spill is LIBERALLY wasting money, the earth, multiple species, jobs, the nations integrity, and much more. The conservatives should be focused on conservation, and this is not the kind of conservation that can be hand picked. It is an all encompassing goal of a people, a party, and ideally... a nation. Save the fish people. Even if you have to hang out with stitched shoulder hobo bag sporting, vegan eating, global warming issue confused individuals. Just do it. Do it, even if you're only motivation is that you like to eat them. (clarification= you like to eat the FISH, not the liberal people.) (In 9 cases out of 10, anyways.)

Red Flag of Oil Spill #5:
Responsibility is a foreign concept to some people. I am incapable of understanding how there are some people who lack the understanding of what being responsible to your family means, or what being self-responsible entails. Maybe it comes with maturity, and if that is the case, then I kindly assign the maturity level of Obama and the Federal government as roughly, that of a 3 day old. Even infants know that they have a responsibility to eat, sleep, and poop. BP corporate has an additional issue with maturity, although, with my vast skills in child-development, I would assign them a maturity age of a 5 year old. They are at least capable of walking back to their playmate, at the insistence/bribery of their mother and say in fragmented english, "I'm sorry I sucker-punched you so I could play on the swing longer." They have reacted. They have apologized. They are at least... seemingly... trying. But there is more to this story. BP is asking for the federal government's help for a couple reasons; (1) They need it, and are not powerful enough to fix their problem solo, (2) They do not have enough money, man-power, time, or energy sources to fix the problem in it's entirety, (3) If the federal government decides to help, then blame can be, even if partially, diverted from their wrong-doing to the federal government's wrong-doing. Similarly, the Obama administration has failed to act, for several reasons... interestingly enough...all very similar in motivation; (1) Because as soon as they agree to help, they have to assume responsibility for the end result, and if they fail in any way, Obama will not be re-elected, (2) Obama, desiring re-election doesn't want his name attached to this, because he will, in every case... be a point of blame, (as he should) and (3) because Obama and the liberal talking heads really don't care about the working man, the environment, or their country. They care about re-election, which equals, power. So from this point on...if any democrat says they stand for the above things, remind yourself that they are lying, and this situation is just one in the track record of their lying intentions that they never seem to follow through with, unless it somehow benefits them. (A side note= on the other side of the equation, whether you agreed with him or not, and I claim neither, George W. Bush, sacrificed a great deal- personal pride, legacy, his party's re-election in order to stand firm to his integrity and take responsibility for the nation's security. So do a quick comparison. Would you rather support a party that stands true to their values and principles, even when it is harmful to them... or a party that says that they work for a certain group of Americans, but has proven not to actually follow through with this claim unless it in some way secures more votes, and subsequently, more power for their party?) Riddle me that, you crazy people?

Welp- that felt like a mighty expensive therapy session, and as my thesis is calling my name... I must get back to work. Hope that you enjoy my "Five Lies" in reference to the oil spill in the Gulf.... and I encourage you to donate your money (for those people, Republicans I assume, who work), your time, and your voice to calling this ridiculous situation exactly for what it is... a bunch of Shenanigans.

Now and always, lover of eating animals, conservationist in all realms, and the most sought after bs-o meter specialist and researcher of this century....may my truth cause you to realize that you are an ignorant fool at heart.

Hugs and Kisses, (to my compassionate conservative friends...)

Kami
